It’s no longer a secret… Torre dell’Orso has won the hearts not only of Salento people but also of the many tourists who every year decide to spend their holidays in Salento.

Spearhead among the marinas of Melendugno, Torre dell’Orso conquers you not only for its crystal clear sea and its white beaches, but also for its lively welcome. These are the reasons why for several years now has the honor of being able to boast of two coveted awards such as the Blue Flag (for its clean beach and its crystal clear waters), and the Cinque Vele of Legambiente (for the quality of the reception and the tourist sustainability).

Its 900 meters long bay surrounded by dunes and a thick pine forest is a strong natural attraction along with the two famous stacks that stand out on the right side of the bay known as Le Due Sorelle (The Two Sisters) which are now the symbol of the famous marina.

Another icon of the territory is the sixteenth-century watchtower that stands on the ridge that directly overlooks the bay and peers away from the horizon until you see in the clearest days the mountains of Albania.

Of particular importance is the strategic position of Torre dell’Orso equidistant both from the capital, Lecce, and from the Gateway to the East, Otranto. Moreover, from Torre dell’Orso it is easy and easy to reach the hinterland that in summer comes alive in particular with the traditional patron and the typical food festivals.

Ormai non è più un segreto…Torre dell’Orso ha conquistato il cuore non solo dei salentini ma anche dei tanti turisti che ogni anno decidono di trascorrere le loro vacanze in Salento.

Punta di diamante tra le marine di Melendugno, Torre dell’Orso ti conquista non solo per il suo mare cristallino e le sue bianche spiagge, ma anche per la sua vivace accoglienza. Proprio queste sono le ragioni per le quali oramai da diversi anni ha l’onore di potersi fregiare di due ambitissimi riconoscimenti quali la Bandiera Blu (per la sua spiaggia pulita e alle sue acque cristalline), e le Cinque Vele di Legambiente (per la qualità dell’accoglienza e la sostenibilità turistica).

La sua baia lunga 900 metri circondata da dune e da una folta pineta costituisce una forte attrattiva naturale insieme ai due famosi faraglioni che si stagliano sul lato destro della baia noti come Le Due Sorelle che ormai sono il simbolo della rinomata marina.

Altra icona del territorio è la torre di guardia cinquecentesca che si erge sul costone che affaccia direttamente sulla baia e scruta lontano l’orizzonte sino a scorgere nelle giornate più limpide i monti dell’Albania.

Particolare importanza riveste inoltre la strategica posizione di Torre dell’Orso equidistante sia dal capoluogo, Lecce, sia dalla Porta d’Oriente, Otranto. Inoltre da Torre dell’Orso è facile e agevole raggiungere l’entroterra che in estate si ravviva in particolare con le tradizionali feste patronali e le tipiche sagre gastronomiche.
